The Wings for Life World Run is a race that takes place on the first weekend of May since 2014, aimed at raising funds for the Wings for Life foundation. The entire participation fee is allocated to spinal cord research. In 2024, the record number of participants reached 265,818, with all runners starting at the same time worldwide, without a traditional finish line. Instead, a "Catcher Car" chases the runners, making this race unique in the world, where everyone finishes. The event is broadcast live on wingsforlifeworldrun.com and on Red Bull TV.

Highlights

  • Participants do not have to run a specific distance, as in comparable competitions.
  • 100% of the participation fee is allocated for spinal cord research.
  • The run takes place simultaneously in many locations around the world.
